The Reformer accommodates a full range of motion to increase flexibility and build strength with resistance. A private Reformer Pilates session will be a personalised and unique workout tailored to your specific requirements, be it strength focused, injury rehab or injury prevention.
Private sessions can be 1 : 1 or for groups of up to 4 people.
Inspired by the core principles of Pilates, small group classes are designed to improve posture, flexibility and overall strength. After an hour of Reformer Pilates, you will come away standing taller and straighter, with a strengthened core and more efficient movement in everyday life.
Small group classes are for a maximum of 4 clients.
The studio is equipped with four Reformers and is located in Little Cornard, between Sudbury and Colchester.
I took up Pilates while working in London at a desk job. I enjoyed running but suffered from lower back pain, which at times felt debilitating. With regular sessions on the Reformer not only did the back pain vanish but I felt physically stronger, and other sports, like running and cycling, became easier and more enjoyable.
After 15 years of sitting at that desk it was time to change. In 2022/3 I trained with Balanced Body as a Pilates Reformer Instructor, and set up my studio.
I believe that Pilates is for everyone, whatever your goals are. The Reformer is an amazing piece of equipment, the springs and pulleys give you far more resistance than you can achieve with just your body weight on the mat. I want clients to walk away feeling empowered, with no pain and increased physical endurance.
